Courtney King and Chloë Zimberg met in 2012 and have been dancing and making work ever since. They started performing together in pieces by Scott Wells, Eli Nelson, detour dance, Fog Beast and Rachael Lincoln through the University of San Francisco. In 2014 they made their first dance film while living abroad in Paris and Bologna. Since then, they have continued to make dance films as well as live works performed in the city and on the West Coast at SAFEhouse Arts, The Contemporary Jewish Museum, the LEVYDance Salon, and with Doré Dance Company. Chlo & Co Dance produces The Drove, which takes place twice a year and brings together Bay Area artists for an evening of curated work. Courtney and Chloë strive to create work that is aesthetically dynamic, physical, and that continues to respond to new questions and challenges.
